Britannica’s businesses today are more complex than ever, and it takes a highly skilled financial executive with understanding of digital business models and sales managment to steer them all.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 18, 2014
Encyclopaedia Britannica® today announced that it has appointed Jason Pinter chief financial officer.
Pinter succeeds Richard Anderson, who is retiring after nearly twenty years in the position.
Pinter began his career with Arthur Andersen and later held positions with Kraft Foods and Orbitz Worldwide. He was most recently vice president, finance and administration, with Ifbyphone, Inc. in Chicago. He is a seasoned financial executive whose varied experience includes software services, e-commerce, consumer products and professional-services organizations. His familiarity with a broad range of digital businesses is expected to be an asset to Britannica, whose consumer and educational business units are concentrated online and in the mobile space.
“Britannica’s businesses today are more complex than they have ever been in our 246-year history, and it takes a highly skilled financial executive with extensive understanding of digital business models and sales managment to steer them all,” said Jorge Cauz, president of Encyclopaedia Britannica, Inc. “With Jason we are fortunate to have found one who can succeed Richard Anderson superbly.”
Pinter holds an undergraduate degree in business from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
