HMHP Safe Sitter Registration Deadline Nears
Youngstown, Ohio (PRWEB) June 18, 2014 -- Registration for the first session of the 2014 Safe Sitter program, sponsored by Humility of Mary Health Partners, will close June 24.
The two-day Safe Sitter course teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to be ideal babysitters. Topics covered include basic first aid, rescue breathing, accident prevention, childcare tips, what to do if a child chokes and how and when to call for help.
Cost for the program is $28.50 and scholarships are available for those who meet financial eligibility requirements.
Classes are from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 25 and 26 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
The Safe Sitter course will be repeated July 9 and 10 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, July 23 and 24 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, and Aug. 6 and 7 at St. Elizabeth.
