Kiwibop Postcard Pals Launches a Weekly Educational Postcard Subscription Service Aimed at Engaging Young Readers
Plainville, CT (PRWEB) June 19, 2014 -- Kiwibop Postcard Pals is an exciting, new subscription service that delivers weekly educational postcards packed with interesting facts and compelling photography from a rotating crew of inspiring characters. Kiwibop Postcard Pals serves a charitable mission with each membership purchased by providing a complimentary membership to a child coping with a life threatening illness or injury.
Through the weekly postcards, young readers may be taken to a tropical rainforest to learn about endangered animals one week and travel to the edge of outer space to see images of planets the next. Some pals will check in from exciting road trips featuring offbeat roadside attractions, landmarks and even national parks. Unlike the typical kids magazine or recently popular box subscription services, Kiwibop Postcard Pals delivers something unique and engaging for young readers in the mail on a weekly basis. Memberships can be used as educational resources for teachers and paraprofessionals, especially to motivate emerging readers and special needs students, or as a birthday gift that continues week after week. Either way, children will love to collect the cards they receive.
“Kiwibop Postcard Pals was born out of our passion as volunteers sending postcards to children with life threatening illnesses and injuries,” said founder Eddie Hollenbeck. “There is something contagious about the joy you experience when receiving a happy piece of mail. Our core mission is to bring encouragement to early readers and comfort to children struggling with serious illness. We call this our one-for-one mission.”
These complimentary memberships are reserved for children diagnosed with a life threatening illness (such as leukemia, tumors, or degenerative illnesses). Some of these children are undergoing treatment such as chemotherapy and radiation, while others are currently waiting for a transplant. The Postcard Pals’ weekly mailings provide these children with some comfort during difficult times.
