Morgan & Morgan to Hold “Women On the Move!” Networking Mixer June 19
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 18, 2014 -- Morgan & Morgan is proud to announce that as part of its Community Outreach Initiative, the firm will co-sponsor its first-ever “Women On the Move!” networking mixer on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Co-sponsored by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for Cancer Research, to where a portion of the event’s proceeds will be donated, the mixer will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. at Café Circa at 464 Edgewood Ave. SE in Atlanta.
Attorney Madeleine Simmons, who focuses her practice on personal injury law and is an active participant in the firm’s Community Outreach Initiative, said she is both excited and grateful for the opportunity to share some career advice with the women of Atlanta.
“I am honored to be a host of this event because it is important to me to celebrate women and everything they do each day for their families and professions,” Simmons said. “I also look forward to sharing advice from my perspective to women who are seeking a career in law, a largely male-dominated field.”
In addition to Simmons, the event will also be guest hosted by Darrlyn Brister, who oversees external relations and is the associate director of the Chick-Fil-A Foundation; Mia Barker, a corporate recruiter for Georgia Pacific LLC; Dariana Colon-Bibb, founder of the Rebelle Agency PR firm; and Brittany Parish, a retail consultant for T-Mobile Stores, Inc.
With an all-female panel of speakers, Simmons feels it’s important to provide both words of encouragement and down-to-earth advice not just for the sake of those in attendance, but for women throughout Atlanta looking to work together to build a future.
“I believe that all women can achieve their goals if they are motivated and hardworking,” Simmons said. “I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to host an event that lifts up women in Atlanta and brings our city together to network while supporting a wonderful charity.
