Shareholder Mark G. Davis to Moderate a Panel on Global Trends in IP Protection
NEW YORK (PRWEB) June 18, 2014 -- Mark G. Davis, a Shareholder in the Intellectual Property and Technology Group and Chair of the International Trade Commission practice in the Washington D.C. office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will serve as a moderator at the Federal Circuit Bar Association’s 16th Annual Bench & Bar Program. The event will be held June 18 – 21, 2014 in Asheville, North Carolina.
Davis will be moderating a panel on “Global Trends in IP Protection.” The panel will discuss the need for innovation and the associated economic benefit that continues to drive IP and trade policy in the United States and abroad. Panelists will also discuss how new legislation has reshaped U.S. patent law, and although the system still seeks improvements in claim construction, damages, theories, and dispute management, other countries are also pursuing policy adjustments.
Davis focuses his practice on intellectual property rights litigation and associated antitrust issues, including International Trade Commission / Section 337 issues. He received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School and his B.A. from The Catholic University of America.
