Summer 5K Series Takes Runners and Walkers Through The Village at Nags Head For The 2nd Year In A Row, Sponsored by Village Realty
Outer Banks, NC (PRWEB) July 03, 2014 -- Calling runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels! Village Realty will be sponsoring a series of races that will tour the Village at Nags Head, as a part of Runcations’ summer 5K series. “We are very happy to be sponsoring the 2nd annual Village at Nags Head 5k race,” commented Jenny Myatt, director of Marketing for Village Realty. “As a company, we strive to help our guests have the best vacation experience possible and we recognize the increasing interest in fitness-oriented activities.”
The races will begin at 7 a.m. each Thursday, from July 10th - August 21st. The race start and finish line will be located at the Outer Banks Mall in Nags Head (milepost 14.5). Participants may register at TRI Outer Banks Sports, located at 3105 N. Croatan Highway (milepost 5.5) or online at http://www.runcations.com/village-realty-5k-series/. The deadline for online registration is midnight on the Tuesday before the race day. Registration is also available the day of the race from 6- 7 a.m. or the day before when you pick up your race packet. Packet pickup will be held on the Wednesdays before the race dates from 4 to 7 p.m. at TRI Outer Banks Sports.
The registration fee is $38 for adults and $28 for children 12 and under. First Place prizes will be awarded to the man and woman with the best times, who will each receive a custom-designed Runcations trophy. All racers will receive a finisher medal, a post-race breakfast (prepared by The Shore Chef), a fun post-race party, an event t-shirt and chip-timing. The results from the chip-timing will be e-mailed to participants and also be posted on the Runcations website.
