Muscatine, Iowa (PRWEB) June 20, 2014 -- Stanley Consultants, a global consulting engineering firm, has elected Dan Bender, P.E. and Tom Lothspeich, P.E. as vice presidents at its annual Board of Directors meeting. Bender is the West Regional Manager for the company’s Infrastructure Business. He is responsible for developing and executing the business plan and growth strategies for the Infrastructure Business in Boise, Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City. Bender joined Stanley Consultants in 2008 as the Operations Group Manager in the Las Vegas office, and he went on to become a project principal and office manager of the Las Vegas Office.
Bender has a degree in civil engineering from Brigham Young University and is a licensed professional engineer in Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. He has 22 years of professional experience, with a technical background in water resources. He has expertise in hydraulic modeling, water shed management, and flood control design.
Lothspeich is a Senior Project Manager and manager of the Power Generation Group of the Energy Business in the Muscatine Office. He is responsible for overseeing the Muscatine Power Generation mechanical, structural, electrical, and controls engineering departments.
Lothspeich joined Stanley Consultants in 2001. He has a degree in mechanical engineering from North Dakota State University and is a licensed professional engineer in Iowa, Kansas, and Kentucky. He has 23 years of professional experience with a technical background in the mechanical system of power plants. He has expertise in design, project management, owner’s engineer and construction management of pulverized coal, fluidized bed, and combined cycle power plants. Lothspeich has worked on some of the company’s largest and most complex power generation projects.
