The Avamere Family of Companies Is a Proud Sponsor of the 2014 Oregon Senior Games
Bend, Oregon (PRWEB) June 18, 2014 -- Today marks the kick off ceremony for the inaugural Oregon Senior Games. The Oregon Senior Games offer athletes 50 and older an arena to compete for a slot at the National Senior Games, which will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2015. Avamere employees from Bend Transitional Care are proud to be Presenting Sponsors of the games and cheer on the contestants in the sixteen sports categories.
The Oregon Senior Games is officially sanctioned by the National Senior Games Association (NSGA), which is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization of the United States Olympic Committee. Prior to 2014, Oregon was one of two states without an official State Senior Games. The NSGA is “dedicated to motivating senior men and women to lead a healthy lifestyle through the senior games movement.” The games are held from June 18-22 in Bend, Oregon.
