About Explovia
(http://explovia.com/)
Explovia is a free mobile messaging app on iOS an Android designed to spark conversations around events worth sharing in London.
Explovia lets users browse a curated shortlist of London events, buy tickets within the app and invite friends via a unique free messaging function.
Explovia is serving users up a spectrum of eclectic London events and experiences; ranging from guest list access at West End nightclubs to East London comedy shows, to museum and theatre tickets, to Festivals such as Pride in London 2014, and everything in between.
Users are able to customise their ‘Explore London’ feed to see not only what’s happening across the next month but also to specify where and when they want it. As you’d expect from an app, booking is a simple, two tap process; Explovia stores your tickets and/or guest list bookings in its ‘My Tickets’ mobile wallet, making it possible for users to walk right into the venue with their iPhone serving as their proof of entry.
Where Explovia really begins to look very different to the obvious competitors, however, is that it’s built on a free messaging service. Upon registration, Explovia accesses users’ iPhone contacts, in the manner of Viber and WhatsApp, to set users up to free message friends and, in the language of the app, spark conversations.
