Surface2Air Sports To Host Open Feature Competition This Summer
(PRWEB UK) 20 June 2014 -- The kitesurfing, wakeboarding and snowboarding store’s latest event will be held on 6th July at the New Forest Wake Park in Hampshire.
Renowned for its comprehensive cable system located across two beautiful lakes, the New Forest Wake Park is the ideal location for both beginners and pros to showcase their skills.
Accessible to anyone and everyone, at all skill levels, the competition will be broken down into three tiers: Men’s, Women’s and Under 14’s.
Competitors in each field will be striving for 1st place to win some of the best sports equipment available in the UK, courtesy of S2AS:
• Men’s: Slingshot Terrain Wakeboard 2015 Model and Limited Edition Oakley Pro Models Enduro Sunglasses
• Women’s: Ride 2014 Snowboard Package (Boards and Boots)
• Under 14’s: Lush Wizard Longboard
Further prizes are due to be announced via the Surface2Air Sports Facebook and Twitter pages soon.
The competition will be judged on two and a quarter laps of the lake, giving riders the chance to showcase their best feature tricks for all the audience to see.
Competitors will also be judged on a ‘wildcard’ trick, launched from the park’s kick ramp. Judges will reward innovative and stylistic moves, the riskier the better. Those who attempt a feature trick that’s not in their normal routine will also receive extra praise from the panel.
This announcement comes hot off the heels of Surface2Air Sport’s last event, the Mystic Big Air Comp, which was held at the beginning of June, also in New Forest Water Park.
A spokesperson from the store had this to say:

Admission to the event is £20 and will allow ticket holders to participate in the competition, whilst also receiving a 10% discount on the New Forest’s cable attraction.
