Sacha Langfield, Account Manager at Cleantec Innovation adds, “Our customers can now take a simple step with their hygiene measures to prevent the spread of MRSA and other super-bugs, as well as stopping infection."
Sandwich, Kent (PRWEB UK) 20 June 2014
After years of stringent efforts to improve cleanliness and infection control procedures, standards continue in some places to fall short. For example last month a report from The Prevention and Control Annual Report showed there were nearly 100 cases of E. coli infections at Plymouth hospitals last year. Compared with 78 in 20012/13 and 74 in 2011/12.
That is not to say improvements have not been made. There have been big steps forward in hygiene and cleanliness, which have had a direct impact on infection levels. With the number of MRSA cases fallen by 96 per cent since 2003/04.
The control of infection in hospitals is a battle that must be fought relentlessly, 24hours a day, and seven days a week. Healthcare cleaning is cluttered with countless products to deal with highly infectious and contaminated areas. In response to these issues Cleantec Innovation have produced pro med concentrated multi-purpose cleaner & disinfectant to replace the myriad of bottles and sprays. With its powerful, yet gentle antibacterial and anti-viral cleaning capabilities pro med can be used for everything from everyday cleaning across all surfaces through to sanitising highly infectious areas.
With properties that deactivate HIV Virus, MRSA, Hepitius B and C and C. Difficile it cleans any interior or exterior areas that need to be sterile.
Super-bugs such as MRSA don’t only cause an issue within hospitals. Last month a report revealed MRSA found in the seat pocket of an aeroplane can survive for up to as long as 168 hours, while E.coli preferred the rubber armrest – where it can live for up to 96 hours.
Pro med cleans all types of flooring including carpet and upholstery, and also works efficiently on glass and mirrors, wall panels, plastic, canvas, metal, vinyl, wash basins, toilets and urinals. It’s quick and easy to rinse, meaning it’s suitable for use on public transport as well as waste facilities. It also contains an anti-static agent, which leaves a sheen and reduces dirt buildup on cleaned surfaces.
Pro med also performs on sanitising highly infectious areas including ambulances, trauma scene clean ups, hospital wards and waiting areas. With the HSE ambulance service aiming for a 30-minute turnaround from ambulance arrival time to crew ready to respond to the next incident, a quick and effective product is vital. Poor cleaning and a lack of resources could potentially spread deadly infections.
Sacha Langfield, Account Manager at Cleantec Innovation adds, “The healthcare industry is a hugely challenging environment working around the clock. In response to this we are all very excited to be offering one of the best multi-purpose cleaning and sanitising products on the market today.
Our customers can now take a simple step with their hygiene measures to prevent the spread of MRSA and other super-bugs, as well as stopping infection.”
