GiftLogic Adds Custom Order Management Features to its Point-of-Sale System

Retailers using GiftLogic Point-of-Sale software now have another convenient management tool at their fingertips: custom order management. According to a spokesperson from GiftLogic, "Many of our customers needed a way to manage and track customer orders such as engraving, embroidery, and picture framing. Our new custom order management feature simplifies this process."

With the new custom order management feature, retailers can specify a minimum deposit amount, enter all customization requirements, add notes, print custom order details on the receipt, and more. In addition, they can specify whether the deposit is refundable or non-refundable as well as accept and track payments much as they would with layaways.

"GiftLogic ensures that custom orders are properly associated with the correct customer, linked to inventory, and tracked from the point of sale to delivery. This tool also makes it possible for retailers to offer customization services that they might have avoided in the past due to concerns about tracking and managing their orders."

The spokesperson further explained that as customers make payments toward their custom orders, GiftLogic applies those payments and creates a detailed payment history. Each subsequent receipt lists the payment history and the balance due along with any notes associated with the order. "This ensures that the customer also is provided a detailed record," they said.

Custom orders are included as a standard feature of GiftLogic Point-of-Sale.
