Social Security Timing® Expands Training Focus with New Director of Education
Omaha, NE (PRWEB) June 23, 2014 -- Social Security Timing® recently hired attorney and investment advisor, David Cechanowicz, as director of education to help expand its training for financial and insurance professionals who want to incorporate Social Security into clients’ retirement plans.
Cechanowicz is a nationally sought-after expert on complex issues where the law, taxes and financial matters intersect, with a specialty in retirement planning that optimizes individuals’ Social Security benefits.
Joe Elsasser, creator of Social Security Timing®, a patented online software application that helps advisors determine the best Social Security claiming decisions for clients, said the decision to create the new position and hire Cechanowicz followed the overwhelming response to Social Security School, a series of webinars and live training events.
“As one of the first professionals to use our software, David helped pioneer this specialized service of helping maximize clients’ Social Security benefits as part of an overall retirement plan,” Elsasser said. “That foresight to understand the importance of Social Security planning and his distinguished career make him uniquely qualified to help refine and expand our educational offerings to financial and insurance professionals.”
Cechanowicz will continue to work in Albuquerque, N.M., for the Omaha-based Social Security Timing® but will travel for the company’s training offerings, including this year’s Social Security School Road Show in Atlanta on June 26th, Chicago on July 10th, Denver, tentatively, on Sept. 18th, and Phoenix, tentatively, on Oct. 23rd. Each road show features in-depth and in-person training for financial and insurance professionals on how to work Social Security into financial planning, using real-life case studies.
“Social Security Timing® has helped me expand my personal business and help scores of clients decide when to claim Social Security benefits,” Cechanowicz said. “I’m eager to expand this training so more professionals can learn how this value-added service will set them apart from the competition, especially with today’s surge of baby boomers.”
Cechanowicz began his career in the financial services industry concentrating on business owners’ estate, retirement and business planning needs, and has accumulated more than 35 years of experience. He has testified before the Internal Revenue Service on distribution issues for qualified plans and has been an expert witness in federal court on life insurance matters and in a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority securities arbitration matter. He’s also written articles on life insurance and financial matters, taught classes for the Chartered Financial Consultant® designation, and helped the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards write exam questions.
Cechanowicz has a Bachelor of Arts in history and linguistics, Master of Science in Near Eastern Language and Literature, Master of Science in Financial Services, and Juris Doctor. He also is a Chartered Life Underwriter®, Chartered Financial Consultant® and Accredited Investment Fiduciary®.
