AM&AA Named M&A Association of the Year – USA
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 23, 2014 -- The Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA) was awarded the prestigious 2014 “M&A Association of the Year – USA” award sponsored by U.K.-based AI Global Media Acquisition International Magazine and award sponsor DealFlow Source, a technology company that connects institutional private companies with deal flow opportunities.
The award, which is voted on by a global network of expert M&A professionals, advisors and industry insiders, celebrates excellence in all areas of M&A, recognizes firms and individuals who often operate behind the scenes, but whose tireless efforts and unrivalled expertise have contributed to the dramatic increase in global M&A activity over the past year. The awards are handed out solely on merit and awarded to only those most deserving for their outstanding work over the past 12 months.
“This year’s winners are some of the most dedicated, forward-thinking and determined we’ve seen in all our time running these awards,” said Kathryn Turner, Chief Coordinator of the 2014 M&A Awards. “Their insights and expertise have been invaluable to countless businesses around the world and they have been responsible for some of the most exciting and important game-changing deals and developments over the past 12 months.”
During the past year, AM&AA has made tremendous strides in supporting M&A professionals both domestically and globally. For example, in January, AM&AA acquired The Middle Market Investment Banking Association (MMIBA) and its CMAP designation. The combined organization will offer long-term strategic value for all of its members, by adding professional knowledge and new relationships to the platform, in support of this overlooked and underserved market.
Additionally, partnering with global firms Bureau van Dijk and Merrill DataSite, AM&AA has spent the last year promoting dealmakers through its Thought Leaders of the Year awards. In 2013, AM&AA named Andrew T. Greenberg, CEO of GF Data Resources, LLC, as a Thought Leader of the Year for bringing factual data and relevant thinking to the lower middle market, and Peter R. Worrell, Founder of Bigelow LLC, for a book he wrote titled, Enterprise Value: How the Best Owner-Managers Build Their Fortune, Capture Their Company's Gains, and Create Their Legacy.
AM&AA will continue its work of bringing together middle market thought leaders during its 2014 July Summer Conference in Chicago (click here for more info: AM&AA 2014 Summer Conference). The conference will showcase the most timely and relevant content available for mid-market companies and professional advisors. What’s more, the agenda features a full-slate of networking events including the PE & Networking Expo and AM&AA’s famous Deal Bash event. AM&AA is proud to bring such high quality speakers to the stage this summer.
Globally, AM&AA is also substantially growing its footprint while promoting M&A deal making in the lower middle market. In October, AM&AA will hold first European Chapter meeting. AM&AA is collaborating with the European Association of Certified Valuators & Analysts to hold the meeting. The event will include a specific track that deals with M&A and private equity issues that pertain to AM&AA members.
“We are honored to be recognized for this outstanding award,” says Mike Nall, founder of AM&AA. “The award is a testament to how important middle market deal makers are globally and the hard work that goes into every deal on the smaller end of the spectrum. This award recognizes the extraordinary efforts of our 1,000 member organization and I am so glad that through AI Global Media’s awards we are able to shine some light on the dealmakers in the middle market who keep the M&A market humming every day.”
