NaphCare Partners with The Lovelady Center in Birmingham
Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) June 23, 2014 -- The Lovelady Center is a faith-based, non-denominational 501c-3, not-for-profit organization that heals families and helps women and children. Their program is about empowerment, hope, and a belief in the value of each and every human life. The mission is to help women rebuild their lives and walk forward with faith-driven hope for the future as a contributing member of the community. From hygiene care, to education and job-stability, to faith in Christ, The Lovelady Center provides healing and restores hope to broken lives each day.
Ms. Monica Byrd, Volunteer Coordinator of The Lovelady Center, says “The Adopt-A-Room program is to update the women and children’s living quarters while they are completing the nine to 12 month rehabilitation program. The simple strength one gains from having a clean and safe place to call home is instrumental in the women and children’s success.”
Today, there are 400 women and 150 children living at the center. This number continues to rise each month and facilities are being filled to capacity. Located at the old East Lake Hospital in downtown Birmingham, the facility provides the women a room and necessary supplies.
“Community programs such as The Lovelady Center offer people in vital need of a helping hand the partnership to create successful citizens and families,” said Jim McLane, CEO of NaphCare, Inc. “At NaphCare we believe in supporting organizations like The Lovelady Center and are proud to be their partner for success.”
