Liberty Traditional-Saddleback Continues to Grow Rapidly
Douglas, Arizona (PRWEB) June 20, 2014 -- By community request, the Douglas charter school has filed a notification with the charter board to begin offering seventh grade this year, and will hopefully expand to eighth grade by next year. As Douglas’ only character based charter school, parents have had great feedback about the family values and character skills taught alongside common-core curriculum.
“Parents enroll their children here knowing that they will be comfortable and happy getting to know other children and teachers. We look forward to growing with our students and the Douglas community, providing the education and life-lessons that kids today need. All of our teachers are positive this will be a great school year,” said Principal Edward Mealy.
The office will be open for enrollment during the following dates and times:
• Tuesday, July 29, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Wednesday, July 30, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Thursday, July 31, 2 to 6 p.m.
Liberty’s teachers follow both federal core curriculum and Arizona State Standards while implementing a rigorous character-based curriculum. All teachers are highly qualified and state-certified. Quality education with a guarantee for bright futures is the motive behind each day. Open enrollment is available for all grades, kindergarten to seventh.
Even as Liberty Traditional-Saddleback grows, it remains committed to offering a low student-teacher ratio to foster a private school environment while remaining tuition-free.
“Since day one of opening, the growth of our programs and learning, both academically and physically, has been outstanding. We’ve been able to add buildings, more activities, hire more teachers…anything we can do to help the community is on our agenda,” Mealy said.
Liberty Traditional-Saddleback offers free full-day kindergarten and before- and after-school programs, a free and reduced lunch program and free breakfast. Along with a character-based curriculum, there are computers in every classroom, school events, community service projects and a large playground.
Located on North Washington Avenue in Douglas, Liberty Traditional-Saddleback opened in 2011 offering Grades K-5. By 2015, the goal of offering a full elementary school will be met when eighth grade is added.
