ISSP 6th Annual Human Factors and SMS Seminar was Held in Dallas, Texas Again this Year
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- Mr. D Smith, founder and President of the International Society of Safety Professionals (ISSP), said he was very pleased with the attendance for this year’s event. "We were so happy to have safety professionals from all over the globe attend the seminar in 2014.” Mr. Smith went on to say, “We formed the ISSP to create a support structure for safety professionals and events like this one are only the beginning of what we want to offer our members.”
D commented, “We had great speakers sharing how their organizations managed safety efforts just as they have in the past, but this year's event was just a little different since the speakers were selected from more than one Industry. Mr. Paul Morel, Sr. VP of Safety for American Airlines, was one of the speakers representing the Aviation Industry, but we also invited Dr. Gary Kenny, Sr. Principal, VisonMonitor Software LLC, to represent safety initiatives from the Energy Industry.”
Industry realizes that taking care of its human resources is critical to the success of each individual organization. Safety Professionals have ever increasing roles in the mitigation of risk and the protection of those resources, yet up until now there hasn’t been an organization that represents Safety Professionals with one unified voice. The ISSP has plans to change that by facilitating a group for those Safety Professionals that will offer a certified registration process and continuing education opportunities for its worldwide membership base.
In keeping of their promises of continuing support for Safety Professionals, the ISSP announced that the Human Factors and SMS Seminar would again be held in Dallas in 2015 during the week of June 22nd. “The exact dates and location will be released in the near future” said Mr. Gerald Kosbab, Chairman of the 2015 Human Factors and SMS Expo and Seminar.
