Green Mountain Mustard Makes Summer Fancy Food Show Debut with Contemporary Condiments
Richmond, VT (PRWEB) June 23, 2014 -- In a land where mustard typically comes in yellow plastic squeeze bottles, one Vermont-based company dares to be different. Exhibiting for the very first time at the 2014 Summer Fancy Food Show at The Javits Center in New York City on June 29 – July 1, Green Mountain Mustard will give visitors to its booth, #5031, an exclusive first taste of the new sriracha and seasonal fall sweet potato and apple cinnamon mustards.
Green Mountain Mustard has evolved from a booth at local farmers markets to a gourmet condiment company offering more than eight innovative flavors of mustard including: an award-winning garlic & oregano, red habanero, and horseradish mustards. Founder, Michael Adams, started Green Mountain Mustard with the help of his parents, Ed and Jeanne Adams, in 2007 and now sells his unique flavors online and in more than 50 retailers in the New England area.
“We were selling energy bars at a farmers market the next town over and noticed that no one was selling mustard – or any condiment for that matter,” said Green Mountain Mustard Founder, Michael Adams. “We whipped up nine jars of our original Sweet-Hot Mustard and brought it to the market the next weekend and it sold out in 30 minutes. The next weekend we brought 24 jars and sold out in just over an hour. The process repeated throughout the summer. We knew we were on to something.”
Known for its daring flavor profiles, the company has created mustard with made-from-scratch sriracha, sweet potatoes, everything bagel seasoning and even Vermont apples. Green Mountain Mustard provides a taste experience unlike any other, making it an ideal addition to more than just sandwiches.
Customers can download a free cookbook from the Green Mountain Mustard website that has 17 different recipes using the current flavor lineup, complete with full color photos for each dish. A sampling of recipes include: Potato Kielbasa Skillet with horseradish mustard, Spicy & Crispy Bacon Dip with red habanero mustard, Jalapeño Mustard Taco Bake, and many more.
Green Mountain Mustard is continuing to expand its availability in more retailers across the New England area. The company encourages attendees to the 2014 Summer Fancy Food Show to stop by booth #5031 to learn more and have an exclusive first taste of the new and seasonal mustard flavors.
