The network we're building is rapidly catapulting Woodland Park into the future.

Woodland Park, CO (PRWEB) June 25, 2014

Peak Internet is excited to announce that they've been chosen by "Colorado Companies to Watch" as a winner of the 2014 award. Colorado Companies to Watch, presented by UMB Bank, energizes the state of Colorado by recognizing second-stage companies that are developing valuable products and services, creating quality jobs, enriching communities, and creating new industries throughout the state. Second-stage companies fuel the economic fire of Colorado by accounting for much of the economic growth and economic independence of individuals throughout the state.

These companies possess attributes such as:

  • Growth focused
  • Privately-held, headquartered in Colorado
  • 6 to 99 full-time equivalent employees
  • $750,000 to $50 million in sales or a similar range of working capital

Peak Internet was founded in 2002 in Woodland Park, Colorado to bring high-speed broadband Internet access to the then-underserved community. The first provider to deliver such services in the area, prior to its opening the only choice for internet access, was dial-up. Since then, Peak Internet has continually led the way with the fastest, most affordable services, and the highest reliability.

Peak Internet's latest project is a monumental undertaking; building a fiber optic network direct to every home and business in town. Founder Jayson Baker says, "The network we're building is rapidly catapulting Woodland Park into the future. In the coming years, businesses and individuals will seek to live and do business in neighborhoods with the fastest Internet. No longer are people buying houses because they're close to schools and parks, they're buying houses because they can get fast Internet access." Peak Internet's fiber optic network is capable of delivering connections up to 1Gbps direct to the end users premises.
