PeopleKeys Names Brazilian Consulting Firm SBDC Their Distributor of the Month for July
Boardman, OH (PRWEB) June 25, 2014 -- PeopleKeys CEO Dr. Sanford Kulkin today announced that Brazilian firm SBDC has been named the PeopleKeys Distributor of the Month for July. The award was given in recognition of the success SBDC has had in using PeopleKeys DISC products in their work with clients throughout Brazil.
SBDC, short for Sociedade Brasileira de Desenvolvimento Comportamental (the Brazilian Society of Behavioral Development), is located in the south of Brazil. SBDC hosts workshops, training activities, seminars, and coaching sessions geared toward helping people improve their leadership and entrepreneurial skills. Their clients include large corporations, small companies, and individuals looking to become more successful in business.
The techniques used by SBDC are based in behavioral analysis. Primarily, SBDC uses a method of behavioral analysis called DISC. DISC, invented in the 1920’s by Harvard psychologist William Marston, is a method of behavioral assessment that breaks down human behavior into four basic personality styles: Dominant, Influencing, Steady, and Compliant (thus, the acronym DISC). SBDC uses DISC to recognize patterns of behavior that clients might have previously been unaware of, and as a means of clearly identifying individual motivational triggers, communication styles, and innate strengths that can be used to gain an advantage in the corporate arena.
SBDC founder Cristina Berenguer Dantas said, “We use the DISC method as a foundation for our coachings and trainings because DISC gives us an excellent understanding of the behavior of the people we are working with. Whether it’s an individual looking to become more successful and self-aware, or a company looking to improve employee morale and efficiency, DISC helps us tailor unique personalized action plans that can help clients move forward and achieve their goals.”
Dantas Continued, “The equation B= f (P, E) shows our way of working. Behavior (B) is the function (f) of the person in the environment that he is inserted into (P,E). When we look at the entire working environment as a vital part of the equation, we can find more exact strategies for improving a company’s overall climate and culture. The DISC tools from PeopleKeys are a huge part of that process. With their techniques for identifying personality type and behavioral dynamics, it’s much easier to find ways to broaden workplace engagement. We’ve found that everything from productivity to employee turnover can be predicted and assessed through DISC.”
After presenting the PeopleKeys Distributor of the Month award to SBDC, PeopleKeys founder and CEO Dr. Sandy Kulkin said, "It’s been an honor to partner with our Brazilian friends at SPDC. We look forward to our continued work with SBDC, and applaud their commitment to improving the lives of others through DISC.”
