The contest hosted in April by the New Jersey Restaurant Association in Edison, New Jersey welcomed four new state chefs to compete in front of a panel of judges for the title.
The face-off required contenders to craft a dish in thirty minutes with one can’t miss ingredient; a six-ounce filet mignon. Blowing the judges away with his delicious recipe in which he served for the first time, Morris was crowned the winner. As recognition, the elite chef receives a year of exposure from the association and Greater Eastern Energy will provide renewable energy to Langosta Lounge for the summer.
