Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) June 24, 2014 -- Specialty fashion brand, Free People, will bring its eclectic apparel to San Diego’s Fashion Valley on July 5th, 2014. At 3,800 square-feet, Free People is thrilled to open one of its largest boutiques to date. Currently, Free People operates two San Diego area retail boutiques at University Town Center and The Forum in Carlsbad.
Free People will celebrate with an opening event on July 10th from 6-8pm in partnership with the talented artist and blogger, Kelli Murray. Kelli is a longtime friend of the brand, and will be hosting a DIY activity showing guests how to create their very own wall hanging. Other festivities include fresh cocktails from Nekter Juice Bar, a photo booth, and complimentary gift bags for the first fifty customers to arrive. Fans can find more info and RSVP here.
The large format boutique will allow Free People customers to discover more of the brand’s coveted styles and in-house labels. Across all merchandise, customers will find fun prints and on-trend fashion pieces inspired by vintage styles and global travels. Catering to San Diego, Fashion Valley’s assortment will feature collections that wear well for the endless summer lifestyle, along with a capsule of high-end impactful dresses sure to wow at special events. To complement each style, the store will also feature vast assortment of Free People’s growing footwear collection that includes clogs, sandals and boots. The brand’s coveted Intimately Free People line of bras, undies, slips, seamless layering pieces, and loungewear will also have a dedicated space within the boutique to round out the assortment.
The space has been designed to mirror the Free People girl’s globe travelling lifestyle and the collections that she curates and displays. Elements throughout include mica plaster finishes, wide-planked reclaimed wood flooring, and hand-carved wooden slat walls. Continuing the open air feel of Fashion Valley, two skylights flood the space with natural sunlight and show the merchandise in its truest form. An installation of yarn-filled cubbies behind the register adds a pop of color to the space as guests check out.
“We are thrilled to bring another Free People to San Diego,” says Free People Director of Retail, Beth Wehagen. “We are confident that our customer will be inspired both by the beautiful store environment and the wider assortment of styles this store will offer.”
Each Free People store offers personalized shopping experiences from a team of expert stylists. Customers can schedule a one-on-one appointment with their favorite stylist, as well as interact and gain inspiration through the brand’s online Style Community, FP Me. In addition to offering personal styling, fans can look forward to a variety of in-store events to be hosted at the Free People Fashion Valley boutique throughout the year.
Free People will be located at Fashion Valley, 7007 Friars Road, San Diego, CA 92108. Store hours will run Monday-Saturday 10am-9pm, and Sunday 11am-7pm.
