With 100 percent participation of all franchisees, Mosquito Squad aims to raise $250,000 by the end of 2016.
Dread’s Challenge, named for Mosquito Squad’s brand icon Dread Skeeter, will raise awareness for Malaria No More and $250,000 in secured donations by 2016. Since 2011, Mosquito Squad franchisees have supported Malaria No More with a variety of activities. Franchisees are encouraging customers and others to donate a dollar or more to the cause to support Malaria No More’s Power of One (Po1) campaign which secures a life-saving test and treatment for a child in Africa for just a dollar. Malaria No More engages leaders, rallies the public, and delivers life-saving tools and education to families across Africa and as a franchise Mosquito Squad is fully committed to their efforts. Malaria is one of the top killers of children across the globe; more than 1,300 children lose their lives to malaria every day, according to the World Health Organization.
