Delve Into World of Italian Craft Beer; Bryan Jansing, Paul Vismara Release New Book
DENVER (PRWEB) June 24, 2014 -- Perseverance and passion have created Europe’s most vibrant beer scene. In this new book, two authors with extensive experience in craft beer detail the history of the Italian craft beer movement, which has grown from fewer than 20 microbreweries in 2001 to more than 600 in 2014. Paul Vismara and Bryan Jansing present a behind-the-scenes look at an evolving craft beer movement that is thriving despite challenging obstacles from Italian society and their own government.
“Italy: Beer Country The Story of Italian Craft Beer” conveys the tales of Italy’s craft beer pioneers, characters such as Agostino Arioli, Teo Musso and Bruno Carilli, who battled exorbitant taxes and low expectations to help create a vibrant industry. Living in a culinary country, these innovators have overcome the cultural challenges of a wine country where the very idea of craft beer remains foreign and suspect. Jansing and Vismara delve deep into the personalities and creativity of the Italian brewers. The book reads less like a travelogue and more like a story, thanks to its narrative style and detailed descriptions. Readers will be charmed by the determination of the Italian brewers to promote their craft and prosper.
International, award-winning author Bryan Jansing was a finalist for the Colorado Book Awards for his work in Fast Forward Vol. 3, “The Mix Tape” (2010) which included “Like Clumps of Dried Dirt,” “Bridge Party” and “A Number on Reality.” Jansing also has written for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
Paul Vismara, an award-winning illustrator with more than 25 years of experience, has published work in The Wall Street Journal, La Republica, Newsweek and Forbes magazine.
They have more than 20 years of combined experience in the craft beer trenches working at the world-famous Falling Rock Tap House in Denver.
