DC Public Schools College Readiness Leader Joins Story To College
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 26, 2014 -- Story To College (storytocollege.com), a company committed to expanding college access by empowering all students to write authentic application essays, announced this week that Kevin C. Hudson has joined the company as Vice President of Admissions Coaching and Partnerships. Kevin will oversee the expansion of the company’s modular admissions coaching program. In addition, he will support the company’s partnerships with school districts and community based organizations to empower students by training teachers and counselors.

The Story To College modular admissions program is designed to democratize college admissions by making reliable, timely information available to all students; focusing on strategy, planning skill-building; and improving students’ writing skills.
Most recently, Hudson was a manager of College Readiness at District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), where he led college access programming for the district’s 111 PK – 12 schools. Prior to joining DCPS, Hudson served as Director of College Admission & Advising at The Wight Foundation, a boarding school placement organization. He has worked as an Admissions Officer at Princeton University and a Career Counselor for undergraduates at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Hudson earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and an MS Ed from the University of Pennsylvania.
