Stoney River of Ramsey Informational Office Now Open

After breaking ground in September followed by months of construction, Stoney River Assisted Living & Memory Care is one step closer to completion with the opening of their new Informational Office located in Ramsey, MN on the Lord of Life Lutheran church campus.

New Communications Director, Joy DuBois, is excited the new office is open and is ready to answer questions about the much-anticipated new Stoney River. “Although the office has only been open since May 15, many of the folks from the community have stopped by and are just as excited as I am for the new opportunities coming to Ramsey,” she said.

Office hours are 9 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or by appointment. Community members can feel free to stop by for more information on pricing or to reserve suites while options are still available.

“The reservations for suites have been steady, with neighbors wanting to remain close to family and the local area they have lived in for years,” DuBois said.

Expected to open in fall of 2014, the community will feature 48 assisted living suites with private, handicap accessible bathrooms and 24 specialized memory care units. A truly unique aspect of this community is that it will offer seniors the choice of assisted living or memory care. As their needs change, residents can transition from assisted living to memory care, if necessary, all while staying on the same campus, in the environment they already call home and staff they already know and love.

The new senior community will feature seven fireplaces, outdoor walking path and porches, beauty shop, a theater with a 60-inch screen, fitness center, and even a tavern—complete with a bar and a pool table—among the features not typically found in assisted living communities.

Designed like an indoor town, the community boasts a main street reminiscent of an old-time downtown shopping district. The indoor street will feature faux brick paving, park benches, street lights, and other items that add to the familiar main-street environment.
