Teaching With iPads is About to Get Better with New App from Netop
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- Today at ISTE 2014, Netop announced the forthcoming release of the new Vision ME app, designed to make teaching with iPads in the classroom easier and more effective.
“There are more than 8 million iPads in U.S. K-12 schools, and we know that teachers need a solution to help them with the challenges that come with integrating iPads into daily instruction,” said Kurt Bager, CEO of Netop. “With the new Vision ME app, we are providing schools with an easy-to-use solution that will allow teachers to make the most of the iPads that so many schools and districts have adopted.”
Vision ME is a web-based workflow management app designed to support teachers and students in iPad classrooms. With Vision ME, teachers can present lessons from anywhere in the classroom, iPad to iPad, and students can lead class demonstrations from their own devices. The app utilizes mobile device management (MDM) technology to provide teachers with better control over student devices, giving them the ability to blank student screens and block internet access. It also allows teachers to showcase a student’s work to the entire class, distribute and collect files and assignments, broadcast messages, and chat with students in groups or one-on-one.
“At Netop, we constantly innovate to ensure that teachers have the tools they need to successfully use new technologies with students,” said Ronny Tovgaard, Netop’s senior vice president of education. “We’ve taken a unique approach with this app, combining MDM capabilities with the presentation and collaboration features that teachers have come to rely on from more traditional classroom management solutions.”
Vision ME will be officially released this fall for the back-to-school season. To stay informed of release updates or to participate in a beta test, visit http://www.netop.com/visionme.
