Grace Chapel Partnership with Non-Profit Ministry, Packs of Hope, Receives Overwhelming Community Support
ENGLEWOOD, CO (PRWEB) June 26, 2014 -- Grace Chapel, Denver-based non-denominational Church focused on missional community centered by faith in Christ Jesus, is pleased to announce overwhelming support from its membership community through its partnership with local non-profit organization, Packs of Hope. This ministry partnership reflects Grace Chapel’s dedication to missional outreach and justice.
Grace Chapel’s Outreach program for the months of May focused on the “fatherless,” which is a reflection of the passage in James 1:27, to be more like Jesus and care for the orphans of the world.
Packs of Hope ministry strives to serve more than 6,000 children in Colorado who are in foster care and an average of 40 more that transition into the Colorado foster care system every week. Packs of Hope delivers backpacks filled with essential clothing items to children and youth who are entering the foster care system. By partnering with the Packs of Hope, Grace Chapel is inspiring and recruiting its membership to serve the local community - Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson counties.
Grace Chapel received overwhelming support from its membership community who volunteered to donate 170 backpacks to Packs of Hope, most of which happened in less than thirty minutes of the ministry partnership announcement. In a letter to Grace Chapel, Michelle Smithling, Founder for Packs of Hope said “Thank you for your help in giving children hope when they are going through a very difficult transition because every child deserves hope, a hope for a better tomorrow.”
