Attend the San Carlos Chamber 4th Annual Social Media Day at Hot Harvest Nights on June 26, 2014
San Carlos, CA (PRWEB) June 25, 2014 -- On Thursday, June 26, 2014, from 4:30 to 7:30pm, San Carlos plans to celebrate Social Media Day during its weekly Hot Harvest Nights Farmers' Market in downtown San Carlos, CA. Many professionals from the Peninsula and beyond are expected to participate in the day's activities that include networking, San Carlos Chamber Gift Certificate giveaways, no-host beer and wine, a photo booth and more. Social Media Day was started by Mashable in 2010 as a way to recognize the worldwide digital revolution. In 2011, the City of San Carlos recognized the day with a proclamation, and that year and every year since, the city has honored this important day.
Presented by the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce, City of San Carlos and sponsored by Sequoia Hospital, Recology, Roaring Pajamas and Zest Bakery, the purpose of the event is to foster face-to-face networking in a fun environment while promoting the use of social media. Participants throughout the San Francisco Bay Area will check-in at the meetup location across the Laurel Street Park, near the beer and wine booth. Attendees will be entered to win one of several gift certificates valid at any San Carlos Chamber member business. They'll also be treated to tasty bites by Nothing Bundt Cake, and the no-host bar features wines from Capay Valley Vineyards and beer from Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company. A festive photo booth is being provided by Brandon Vaccaro Photography.
“Social media is now a large part of our daily business,” remarked Chamber CEO David Bouchard, “and Social Media Day helps us acknowledge this amazing source of communication and its impact on our members and community.”
