New Delhi, India (PRWEB) July 06, 2014 -- Dr. Lubabatuyakuba Musa, a 32-year-old physician from Nigeria, has survived from cancer, thanks to the competent surgeons in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. The Nigerian doctor was operated by a team of surgeons in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for cancer of the liver and a tumor in the heart. On July 5, 2014, Dr. Musa came to the hospital in Delhi for a follow-up, one year and three months after her surgery, and underwent all important investigations.
Congratulating the Nigerian doctor for fighting cancer bravely, Dr Suresh Singhvi, Senior Consultant Hepatic Pancreatic & Biliary (HPB) Surgery and Liver Transplant in Sir Ganga Ram hospital stated, “All of Dr. Musa’s diagnostic tests are normal and she is absolutely healthy.”
Dr. Suresh Singhvi further added, “Dr. Lubabatuyakuba Musa went to a Cardiologist in Nigeria last year with a history of palpitations and a weight loss of 15 Kg. The doctor attending on her performed an Echocardiogram that revealed a tumor in the right atrium (right upper chamber of the heart). Dr. Musa then flew to India and underwent treatment at a private hospital in Delhi where doctors performed open heart surgery and removed the tumor in her heart.”
“After returning to Nigeria, Dr. Lubabatuyakuba observed that she was continuing to lose weight. She went in for an Ultrasound scan of the abdomen, which showed a large tumor involving the whole of the left lobe of the liver. One of the leading hospitals in U.K informed her that the tumor could not be operated, while another hospital in UK quoted the cost of treatment as GBP 150,000,’’ disclosed Dr. Suresh Singhvi.
Dr. Musa then contacted Dr. Suresh Singhvi in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital New Delhi, who suggested to her that she needed a team of liver and heart surgeons to treat her in a proper manner. Following Dr. Singhvi’s advice, the patient got admitted in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital where she was operated by a team of surgeons consisting of Dr. Suresh Singhvi (M.S, FRCS, CCST (UK) and Dr. Sujay Shad & Dr. Dubey (Senior Cardiac Surgeons) along with a team of anesthetists Dr Maheshwari, Dr. Anil Jain and Dr. Jayashri Sood.
