US named Top 100 workplace in Northeast Ohio

The administration is genuinely dedicated to making the school the best it can be, while sticking to mission and the boys' best interests.

Hunting Valley, Ohio (PRWEB) June 26, 2014

For the second year in a row, University School has been named one of the Top 100 Workplaces in Northeast Ohio by The Plain Dealer, ranking #3 in the midsize employer category. Last year, US ranked fifth in the same category. The newspaper recently published the complete list of Top Workplaces in a special section.

“The Top Workplaces are based solely on employee feedback so we are particularly gratified to have topped last year’s ranking and to have been chosen once again by our own faculty and staff as one of the best places to work in Northeast Ohio,” said Steve Murray, headmaster.

US achieved the highest ranking among several of its peer schools in the Cleveland area.

On the survey, one teacher commented, “I think my work at University School is appreciated by students, parents, coworkers and the administration. I feel there is space to create an identity as a teacher and I feel encouraged to be courageous and creative in the classroom.”

Others said:

“At US, we are treated equally and are allowed to voice opinions. We are respected in our area of work. I work with an amazing group of people,” and…

“The administration is genuinely dedicated to making the school the best it can be, while sticking to mission and the boys' best interests.”

The survey is conducted by Workplace Dynamics, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement.
