Orthoco Inc. Now Offers Hydrocollator Moist Heat Units for Rehabilitation Clinics
Wynnewood, PA (PRWEB) June 26, 2014 -- Orthoco offers two types of Hydrocollators: the stationary and mobile heating units manufactured from Chattanooga. The Hydrocollator Stationary Heating Units do not have wheels, unlike the Mobile Heating Units. Anthony Engel, CEO of Orthoco says, “The Mobile heating units are good for busy rehab practices that need the ability to move the unit around when new tables and equipment are added, while the stationary unit is good for smaller offices with restrictive space.”

Both types of Hydrocollators are made of stainless steel and are easy for rehab staff to maintain because they are simple to fill and drain. The Chattanooga Hydrocollators are thermostatically controlled to maintain heat from 160 to 165 degrees Fahrenheit. The heating and cooling time for each Hydrocollator varies depending upon unit size and ambient room temperature, but generally it takes 2 to 6 hours to get to the temperature to optimal levels.
Each Hydrocollator comes complete with moist heat hot packs, which can come in three types: standard, oversize, or cervical. Orthoco offers the following models with specific features on its website, http://www.orthoco.com.
Stationary Hydrocollator Units:
E-1, 2102: 4 standard hot packs
E-1, 2102-2: 3 standard and 1 cervical hot pack
E-1, 2102-3: 2 standard and 2 cervical hot packs
E-2, 2802: 2 oversize, 3 standard, and 1 cervical hot pack

SS-2, 2302-2: 4 standard and 4 cervical hot packs

Prospective purchasers concerned about power consumption are urged to consider the SS-2 and M-2 models because they are insulated, whereas the E-1 and E-2 models are not and may cycle more frequently due to ambient room temperature. The units run on 110 VAC.
Orthoco’s Hydrocollators are for sale under the “Heat Therapy” section of their webpage. Depending on the model or unit chosen, prices range from $349 to $1,350 plus shipping.
