The Tradition-Prestonwood Assisted Living/Memory Care Building Now Under Construction
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) June 26, 2014 -- The Tradition-Prestonwood, a high-end rental senior living community, is adding a four-story assisted living and memory care building that will complement its existing independent living community. The new construction has broken ground and is situated on 2.81 acres at 5555 Arapaho Road, which is catty-cornered from the original community located at 15250 Prestonwood Blvd. and Arapaho. The new building will comprise 75 assisted living and 38 memory care apartments, totaling 138,000 square feet of construction. With this project, Tradition Senior Living, LP, (TSL) currently has under construction independent living, assisted living and memory care units totaling more than 420. The announcement was made by Jonathan Perlman, Founder and CEO of Tradition Senior Living, LP, which is developing, building, marketing and managing the project.
“We are very pleased to offer this addition to our existing independent living community at Prestonwood, which can now provide a continuum of care option to our residents and to the people of Dallas,” said Perlman, who anticipates that the new community will open May 2015.
Services and Amenities
The new building will be totally in keeping with the original Tradition-Prestonwood community, which is known for its beautiful, light-filled interiors and landscaped courtyards. Paramount throughout the new assisted living and memory care communities will be state-of-the-art technology for safety, health and medication management systems. The apartments in the assisted living and memory care communities will be unusually spacious, with details similar to those of the apartments in the independent living community.
Additional TSL Communities
Also currently under construction by TSL is The Tradition-Lovers Lane, a senior living rental community providing a continuum of care and situated at 5850 East Lovers Lane next door to Central Market. The 7.5-acre community will include a 202-unit independent living building at the corner of Matilda and Milton and a 109-unit assisted living/memory care property next door, fronting Milton. The Tradition-Lovers Lane is due to open this summer.
The Tradition-Prestonwood, TSL’s first independent living community, was built in 2010 with 215 units.
License and certification are pending for the assisted living and memory care communities.
