OWN Network Trading Spaces Host Paige Davis Shares Her Career and Latest Projects On The Total Celebrity Show, a Division of The Simply G Media Network
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- Neil Haley, The Total Tutor host of the Total Celebrity Show, interviewed Paige Davis to find out about her career and latest projects.
Davis, who is best known as the host of the OWN Network's design-reality show “Trading Spaces,” gained notoriety when she appeared on TLC’s “A Wedding Story.” The episode, which showed wedding to actor Patrick Page, became one of the highest rated cable shows of the season. As an offshoot of the "Trading Spaces," Davis’ released a book, Paige by Paige, A Year of Trading Spaces, which spent several weeks at the top of the New York Times Bestseller list.
Davis is also a stage actress, having received rave reviews for her performance in the Broadway revival of "Boeing Boeing," She also starred on Broadway as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago. She also played prominent roles in "Chicago," "Beauty and the Beast," and "The Vagina Monologues."
In the interview, Davis shared that she loves hosting, loved writing a book, and loves being on stage. One of her current projects, she said, is her new blog called "Positively Paige." It is positive but it all about Davis. On the blog she opens up honestly about her life, including her husband, what it's like to be a girl, Monica Lewinski, being an aging dancer, training her new puppy and more.
Davis also explained how she got involved in the entertainment business. Her whole background is theater played a major role, according to Davis. She majored in dance at a performing arts high school in Louisville, KY and at Southern Methodist University. Eventually she was able to book a Broadway show.
“I climbed the ladder,” Davis said.
The first TV show she ever did was "Trading Spaces," where it focused less on acting and more on her being herself. According to Davis, she really loved the hosting world and enjoyed how the producers edited the show. It really took off and opened a lot doors for her."
After she did "Trading Spaces," she did an international production of "Chicago: before returning to Broadway and to reprise her role.
Davis also noted that she is going to do a play this summer called "Dancing Lessons," which will premiere at Barrington Stage in the Berkshire’s.
