McLean, VA (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- General Peter Pace, 16th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Chairman of the Wall Street Warfighters Foundation, recently welcomed Paul T. Murphy; Managing Director of Spire Investment Partners, to the Foundation’s Board of Directors. This addition to the board formalizes Spire’s role as one of many industry partners supporting Wall Street Warfighters as they prepare service-disabled veterans for careers in the Financial Services industry.

His responsibilities at Spire include overseeing both the organic and external growth of the firm, the development and expansion of the business model and the nurturing and development of key industry relationships.

The Wall Street Warfighters program helps service-disabled veterans obtain financial security, professional satisfaction and personal independence. The veterans participate in a six-month industry immersion program that includes assessment and career guidance, resume and interview preparation, financial services industry overview, academic preparation for security licensing exams, formal apprenticeships, internships, and assistance in job placement. Warfighters gain valuable exposure to a wide variety of financial services opportunities, with instruction and mentorship by experts in the business.
An important aspect of their support to Wall Street Warfighters, Spire will sponsor, coordinate, and absorb the costs associated with the professional FINRA licensing for program participants, to include the orderly flow of licenses and registrations as these veterans gain employment.

David retired from the Reserves in 2003 following 7 years of duty in the Pentagon.
