Woodland Hills permanent teeth in one day expert Dr. Saj Jivraj, founder of the Anacapa Dental Art Institute in Woodland Hills and Oxnard, Calif., is speaking tomorrow at the Nobel Biocare World Symposium in Marina Del Rey, Calif.

Dr. Jivraj will teach a master class on the permanent teeth in one day dental procedure at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 18.

“In our Ventura contemporary dental implant centers, patients walk in with no teeth and are able to walk out with a bright smile, able to eat all of their favorite foods again,” Dr. Jivraj said.

To prepare for a permanent teeth in one day procedure, specially trained dentists like Dr. Jivraj use three-dimensional computerized tomography (CT scan) images of a patient’s mouth to plan the implants’ locations and to design the natural-looking false teeth before the day of the surgery.

Dentists screw titanium dental implants into a patient’s jaw bone to serve as an anchor for a prosthetic tooth. Traditionally, dental implants took weeks or months if a patient needed a bone graft due to reduced bone density.

That problem has been solved by the revolutionary All on Four procedure, where patients missing their upper and/or lower teeth can get a full set of prosthetic teeth set on only four implants in each jaw. Two of the All on Four dental implants are angled, giving the prosthesis more stability even in less-dense bone.

“It is a privilege to be able to educate other dentists about this fantastic procedure,” Dr. Jivraj said.
