Harris Teeter Donates $75,000 to Make-A-Wish® Central and Western North Carolina
Matthews, N.C (PRWEB) June 27, 2014 -- Today Harris Teeter made a $75,000 donation to Make-A-Wish® Central and Western North Carolina. The money was raised through the generosity of Harris Teeter vendors who participated in a cornhole tournament hosted by Harris Teeter.
Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich their lives with hope, strength and joy at a time when they need it most. For many, it marks a turning point in their fight against their illness. The average cost to grant a child’s wish through Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina is $6,000, and every 38 minutes Make-A-Wish grants the wish of a child.
Harris Teeter is honored to partner with Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina to help grant the wishes of local children. One hundred percent of the funds donated today will fund the wishes of children in Central and Western North Carolina.
