Rose State College VP Stan Greil Awarded Small Business Co-Champion of the Year in Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (PRWEB) June 28, 2014 -- Greil was honored with other 2014 state winners at the State Capitol in Oklahoma City at an awards luncheon earlier this month. Consideration for this honor is based on his commitment to the advancement of small business opportunities at Rose State College for veterans of the U.S. armed forces.
Greil, a U.S. Air Force veteran and honorary AWACS Commander, played a pivotal role in the reinstatement of the Rose State College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and development of its Hardin-Miller Advisory Committee. Since its reinstatement in 2012, the Center has provided assistance to small businesses through programs and workshops such as the Rose State College SBDC Veterans’ Conference, a free event for veterans who are looking to start or grow a business.
Greil maintains working relationships with Tinker Air Force Base by facilitating the Tinker Air Force Partnership in the Professional Training Center at Rose State College and advocating veteran-owned small businesses with the Tinker AFB Transition Assistance Program (TAP), in which those leaving the military can train for work after their service.
