Richmond, VA (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- CO2Fit announces it will now be offering a new group fitness program, POUND™ Rockout Workout, in various locations in Richmond. With the use of light-weighted exercise drumsticks, Ripstix™, the 45-minute group class combines simulated drumming with cardio, strength training, and Pilates to achieve a full-body workout.
“POUND™ is a great effective program that can appeal to people at every fitness level. Similar to the popular Zumba classes, in POUND™, you can get fit while feeling like you are at a party. But you don't even have to be a good dancer, you just need to POUND the Ripstix™ while rocking out to great music," said Seo Kelleher, owner of CO2Fit.
POUND™ utilizes bright green weighted exercise drumsticks known as RipStix™. The use of RipStix™ allows participants to burn between 500-900 calories per class, performing over 15,000 reps per session. As the majority of the class routine includes constant movement, engaging smaller muscle groups in the core, legs, and butt, participants can create long, lean muscles that support the body for safe movements during other forms of exercise.

July marks the two-year anniversary for CO2Fit, and to celebrate it, Kelleher plans to offer several free community classes around RVA area.
