Dermacare Reopens Carlsbad Location Following Poinsettia Fire
Carlsbad, California (PRWEB) July 05, 2014 -- The flames are extinguished, but Carlsbad is still recovering from the devastating wild fire that burned more than 600 acres on May 14, closing businesses and forcing the evacuation of more than 1,500 people. One of the most hopeful signs of recovery is the reopening of local businesses like Dermacare Skin and Laser Clinic.
Dermacare is well-known in North County, offering medical esthetic services such Botox, laser hair removal and laser-assisted liposuction. Located in the professional center at the corner of Cassia Rd. and El Camino Real, Dermacare was on the front line of the Poinsettia fire, less than a mile across the canyon from "ground zero" at Poinsettia and Alicante.
The charred edges of the Dermacare parking lot bear witness to the battle fought there by first responders. "The flames raced up the canyon so quickly that they were at the parking lot edge as we jumped into our cars. Moments later the building was seemingly engulfed in flames,” said Dr. Jeff Birchall, owner and medical director of Dermacare. "The firefighters did an incredible job that day protecting lives and property." (Watch a video.)
While the building was saved, it did sustain enough damage that Dermacare was forced to close their doors for six weeks while repairs were made. Treatments, including Botox®, Dysport®, Restalyne® and Juvederm®, were offered from a temporary location at the East of Bali Salon in the Forum shopping center in La Costa, serving clients from Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside and coastal North County. The Dermacare Rancho Bernardo office has been at capacity accommodating clients from both locations for laser treatments like Fraxel® and IPL, as well as laser-assisted body shaping procedures.
"It has been amazing to see the support we've received from both our team and our clients. It's one thing to have great ratings and reviews on Yelp or Google, but to experience client loyalty under these circumstances is very gratifying."
To celebrate the restoration and reopening of their Carlsbad clinic, Dermacare is offering community appreciation specials on treatments designed to restore face and body. Dermacare will also donate $20 to the Burn Institute "Fill the Boot" campaign in honor of the Carlsbad Fire Department for every product or service purchased during the week of July 7-11.
"At Dermacare we say that 'Looking Good Feels Great,' said Dr. Birchall. "And today, looking at our restored business and community feels great too."
