Delego is Geeking Out to Participate in Extra Life Charity Event

(DSI), an industry-leading enterprise payment and security solutions company, announced that Delego is geeking out in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The Delego team is participating in Extra Life’s 24-hour video gaming event on October 25th, 2014 starting at 8 a.m. EDT.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is a non-profit organization that raises funds for children’s hospitals and the medical treatment, programs, and charitable care that is provided to kids in various communities around North America. Extra Life has motivated gamers across North America to drive donations to local children’s hospitals. Delego will be participating in the Extra Life event for its third year with all funds raised going to London Children’s Health Foundation.
At Delego we believe that we have a civic responsibility to give back to the community that we live in. The Children’s Miracle Network Hospital is the largest children’s charity treating one in nine kids in North America. Through the Extra Life event, Delego has an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Extra Life’s website states that “[t]housands of children are treated each year, regardless of their family's ability to pay. These kids are facing scary stuff like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents to name just a few.”
The beauty of this event is that individuals can play any game they choose — including those on their phone, computer or even board games — and can participate in the marathon from their own homes or create or join groups and play from any location of their choosing. Each donation stays in the community where it was pledged, for the benefit of the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
Last year Extra Life raised more than 4 million dollars to save kids, and goal for 2014 is much higher. Delego is reaching out to encourage more teams to participate, whether through donations or to take part directly under Team Delego’s banner for the Extra Life Event.
