“The management team that originally made it a success is now back, all the pieces are in place, and the sky’s the limit.”

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) July 08, 2014

On June 16, three former executives finalized a purchase of their former employer, outflanking other bidders for the cloud-based technology innovator Edgenet Inc. (http://www.edgenet.com).

Edgenet’s new executive team includes Chief Executive Officer Steve Proctor, Chief Operating Officer Tim Stafford and Chief Financial Officer Chris Dowdy.

Proctor, Stafford and Dowdy were top executives at Edgenet during its peak growth period from 1999 to 2008. Now, Proctor and Stafford return to Edgenet from Oracle, where Proctor was recognized as one of its top 1% performers. Dowdy recently served as CFO for customer care operations at Asurion.

“We’re thrilled that our tireless efforts to acquire Edgenet paid off,” said Proctor, “and we’re grateful to the local investors who helped make the purchase possible.” Edgenet’s investors include Tenth Street Capital; Nashville entrepreneur Tim Choate, Edgenet’s original founder; attorney Ernie Williams IV; James H. Spalding, former Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Vanguard Health Systems, Inc.; and the executive team.

“There were several reasons investors and previous executives were drawn to this opportunity,” Proctor explained. “We all recognized value and a tremendous upside of applying tested, successful leadership to Edgenet’s cloud-based technology and applications, which are used every day by some of the world’s biggest brands.”

Proctor, Stafford and Dowdy intend to bring Edgenet back to even bigger success by invigorating a customer-centered culture of collaboration at the technology company.

““The management team that originally made it a success is now back, all the pieces are in place, and the sky’s the limit. We’re joining arms with employees to breath energy and life into a brand we know well. This is the beginning of the new Edgenet,” Proctor said.

Every day, the world’s largest search engines, Fortune 50 retailers, and key manufacturers rely on Edgenet’s cloud-based applications and technology. Edgenet offers a diverse portfolio of solutions, like its powerful m2ō® configurator, which allows consumers and building product retailers to build a customized window or door; its Big Hammer Designer Series®, where can professionals and DIYers design and build the decks, fences and outbuildings; and Edgenet’s powerful product information management for retailers, distributors and suppliers.

Edgenet has offices in Nashville and Milwaukee, WI.
