YAKIMA, Wash. (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- When the going gets tough, the tough get going. This is the clear message of SASSpeedis’ “Swing ‘Em High.”
“Swing ‘Em High” is an inspirational autobiography full of tragedy, triumph and self-therapy. Speedis suffered from paralysis of her entire right side from a horse riding accident.
According to Speedis, “I did not let that get my spirit down. I have learned through experience that the only way to get rid of pain, is to put pain back on it.”
Speedis talks about her life, dependent on herself alone to work past the paralysis, and continue raising her two children and continue teaching them the traditional ways. Speedis was raised by her grandmother in the Yakama Nation. Here she learned to gather food and dance in the traditional way.
“Swing ‘Em High” is filled with Speedis’ personal stories—stories about her life, family, tradition, culture and growing up. Continually open and honest, Speedis hopes that through her experiences and honesty, she can continue to help people through their own troubles.
