Oklahoma City, OK (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- For the first time in 20 years, Fiat's Alfa Romeos will be sold in the United States, and Fiat of Edmond will be among the few inaugural dealerships in the country that will carry these vehicles.
Alfa Romeo originated in Milan in 1910, and the brand’s iconic designs paved the way for the reputation of beauty and power held by Italian cars over the world. Though these premium Italian cars have been available for sale in Europe since the 1990s, the brand ceased sales in the United States for over 20 years, until now.
Fiat Chrysler owns the Alfa Romeo brand, and the auto group made the announcement this week that 86 dealerships in their North American network will distribute the vehicles. Fiat of Edmond- located at 14113 Broadway Extension Hwy- will be the only dealership in Oklahoma to carry the line.
Fiat of Edmond expects to get the first Alfa Romeo 4C in their showroom in the latter part of this year. The line includes several options complete with state-of-the-art tech features, including a dynamic engine that runs on 237 horsepower. Drivers will discover all the great specs this vehicle has to offer.
In order to show off the progressive stylings of the line, Alfa Romeo head of marketing, Alberto Cavaggioni, stated in an interview with Top Gear magazine, “The 4C would get updates every year. This is astounding given the 4C’s already astounding specs, including a top speed of 160 mph and 0-62 mpg in 4.2 seconds.”
Though reports suggests that consumers are still familiar with the brand, Fiat Chrysler Group aims to create more awareness for Alfa Romeo in the United States to bolster the brand’s already strong reputation. Despite the automaker’s 20-year absence from the United States, Alfa Romeo still maintains over one million fans on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook. The Alfa Romeo 4C is arriving soon and it’s bound to turn some heads on the roads of Oklahoma City.
