"I was convinced we would qualify as one of Americas Healthiest Clubs as we have already made great efforts as a club to create a healthy culture." Vincent Tracy, General Manager Town & Country Club.

St. Paul, MN (PRWEB) June 30, 2014

With such high regard for its members, employees, the environment and the community, it only seems fitting that Town & Country Club be recognized as one of America's Healthiest Clubs.

Town & Country Club is only the second Private Club in Minnesota to certify as one of America's Healthiest Clubs, is the only Private Club in America that has earned the Green Restaurant Certification and is the 9th private club in the State of Minnesota and the 127th in the world to become a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.

Vincent Tracy, General Manager Town & Country Club is leading by example. “As an advocate for health & wellness at Town & Country Club, I was convinced we would qualify as one of America's Healthiest Clubs as we have already made great efforts as a club to create a healthy culture.” Town & Country is truly a leader in the health & wellness arena, and Tracy has the gardens, bees, chickens and Green Restaurant Certification to prove it.

Town & Country Club’s commitment to a healthy culture begins with the executive staff. Tracy says, “If there is one thing I’ve learned in all my years in the club industry, it’s that the member experience depends on a happy and healthy staff. We have already made great efforts as a club to become health, nutrition, and wellness – focused and we are proud to be recognized for our efforts.”

According to America's Health Rankings, 2014 Senior Edition, released May 21, 2014, Minnesota was ranked as the 3rd healthiest state in America. In the past year, the prevalence of physical inactivity decreased from 21.9 percent to 17.5 percent of the adults, the prevalence of diabetes is among the lowest in the nation and in the past 10 years, the rate of cardiovascular deaths decreased by 40 percent.

Rick Ladendorf, President of Prevo Health Solutions and Executive Producer of the America's Healthiest Club certification, said, “earning the certification sends a message that the club is committed to creating a sustainable health and wellness culture that emphasizes physical fitness and proper nutrition.” Mr. Tracy doesn’t take this leadership responsibility lightly, and his members and employees know they are valued. With a solid plan to motivate employees to be more physically active and healthy, he looks forward to further instilling a culture of wellness that reaches and affects the health of its members, employees and the community.

Town & Country joins an elite group of America's Healthiest Clubs nationwide that includes Ocean Reef Club, Key Largo FL, The Vintage in Palm Desert CA and Bethesda Country Club, Bethesda MD, to name a few.
