The winners were announced at a gala reception on Wednesday, June 25th, 2014 at the Orlando Hilton, in Orlando, Florida, following the close of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Annual Conference and Exposition. The ReSIs, sponsored by Boxwood Technology and Simply Hired, were developed by the International Association of Employment Web Sites (IAEWS) to recognize groundbreaking recruiting and sourcing products and services that optimize the recruiter’s experience. Nominees for the 1st Annual Recruiting Service Innovation Awards came from a worldwide pool of recruiting tech companies, including companies based in Canada, India, the Netherlands, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Seventeen semi-finalists were chosen by a Selection Committee, chaired by Kara Yarnot, the founder and CEO of Meritage Talent Solutions, and comprised of Talent Acquisition executives from Hewlett-Packard, Hyatt, New Belgium Brewing Company, and Outerwall, Inc. The semi-finalist’s clients were then surveyed regarding the nominated service or product, and a combined score, based on the Selection Committee’s evaluation and the users’ survey, determined the winners.
