The Tour de France Fan Parks & Voyages-sncf.com
(PRWEB UK) 30 June 2014 -- As another exciting Tour de France cycle race approaches we have reason to be even more enthused than usual as the first part of this great competition will take place in the UK. The 101st Tour de France starts in Leeds, Yorkshire on 5th July 2014. The finish line will be crossed in Paris on 27th July. Hopes are once again high for Mark Cavendish, Chris Froome and the other British riders taking part this year.
To celebrate the appearance of the Tour in the UK, Voyages-sncf.com is partaking in a whole series of events in Yorkshire and London, and will be giving away a raft of lovely prize opportunities to the public. First of all they will be participating in the Official Tour de France Fan Parks to which an estimated 500,000 visitors are expected. The villages have stages, giant screens, French food and drink areas, a variety of cycling activities and appearances by celebrities and guests are expected as well.
Voyages-sncf.com will be sponsoring the free-fall experience in Harrogate (3rd- 6th July) and the French entertainment in Trafalgar Square (5th – 7th July). They will also be present in the two other Fan Park venues at Green Park (5th – 7th July) and Canary Wharf (24th – 27th July) offering prizes of rail tickets to Europe, as well as other goodies.
One of their great prizes is the chance to win two VIP tickets to watch the London finish on July 7th. The lucky winners will get a private viewing of the straight to the end of the race, complimentary food and drinks including champagne when the riders cross the finish line and a Tour de France gift set. Enter online before July 2nd here: http://uk.voyages-sncf.com/en/be-inspired/tour-de-france.
Another competition is the Team Bus App on Facebook run in conjunction with Tour de France Fan Parks. Users create a Tour de France team by inviting eight friends to join the team and assigning team titles to each of them. Just like the nine-man squads competing in the Grand Boucle, the competition involves nine friends coming together to form their own light-hearted Tour de France ‘team’ for the chance to win a place in their own exclusive VIP private space for the day – a ‘Fan Bus’ – at the Canary Wharf Tour de France Fan Park. Voyages-sncf.com are offering nine bespoke maillot jaune style jerseys to the winning team – the team name will be printed on the jerseys and given to the winners at their VIP day at the Fan Village.
Lastly there is a fabulous opportunity on #Fan Park Friday to win first class rail travel to Nimes with accommodation plus VIP finishing line tickets. This social media competition is already online and will close on July 1st. #FanParkFriday
