SAE International Reformats Convergence’s Technical Panel Sessions
Warrendale, PA (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- SAE International has reformatted the Technical Panel Sessions of the annual Convergence to better serve the 2014 attendees. The reformatted schedule will provide individuals with ease of access to every technical session, without any overlapping times. The sessions, spread out over a 2-day event in Detroit, Michigan on October 21-22, are surrounding this year’s theme, Evolving the Customer Experience through the Transformation of Electronics.
This year, Convergence continues to bring the most pertinent technology to the table, featuring a compelling line-up of emerging technologies. Sessions will cover topics such as Connected Vehicle Technologies, Safe Mobility, Systems Engineering, Electronic Systems for Propulsion, and Disruptive Technologies.
These topics will examine current technologies, but also look with anticipation towards the future. Convergence attendees will attempt to replicate Trevor Jones’ work in his paper “The Challenge of Automotive Electronics in the USA” in which he precisely predicted an impressive amount of electronic engineering inventions. The session, “40-year Look Ahead” will encourage attendees to envision the future much like Jones did 40 years ago.
SAE’s Convergence Conference & Exhibition has presented the pinnacle of emerging technology for decades, not only providing expert knowledge in technology, but also encouraging some of today’s most formidable minds in electronic engineering. Steve Buckley, Chrysler, has attended Convergence for over 25 years, first as collegiate and now serves on the Executive Council for Convergence. His dedication to the event has played an integral role in his professional development. Buckley states, “The technology, trends, and topics chosen for the conference should be considered invaluable to any participant looking to base their career on the leading edge, which is the path Convergence illuminated for me.”
