An outstanding group of world renowned and regional experts will present on a variety of topics covering the hottest sustainability issues at ISSP Conference 2014, November 12-14, 2014 at the Sheraton Downtown Denver Hotel in Denver, Colorado.
Presented by The International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), the conference will feature an exciting set of pre-conference activities, prominent keynote speakers, stellar plenary sessions, induction of a new group of industry leaders into the ISSP Sustainability Hall of Fame ™, an impressive exhibit pavilion, and lots of networking among peers. Andrew is co-founder of the USBCSD, a non-profit association of businesses launched in 2002 whose purpose is to create and deliver value driven sustainable development projects in the United States.
ISSP Sustainability Hall of Fame
A highlight of the conference will be the induction of four new honorees into the ISSP Sustainability Hall of Fame which was established in 2011 to formally recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of sustainability and to the professionals who serve it. As in past years, names of nominees were submitted by ISSP members and, after thorough review, the current class was selected by the ISSP Board of Directors. They are:
Susan Burns, CEO of Global Footprint Network. Over the last decade Susan has built Global Footprint Network into one of the leading and most respected scientific organizations in the world addressing global ecological limits.
Jeffrey Hollender, Founder and CEO of Hollender Sustainable Brands. Hollender Sustainable Brands has developed and markets Sustain condoms, the first US brand of condoms that is certified to be fairtrade, free of chemicals of concern and sustainably produced.
Joel Makower, Chairman and Executive Editor of GreenBiz Group Inc. Joel is an award-winning author and a leading voice on the intersection of sustainable business, clean technology and innovation.
Mathis Wackernagel, Co-Creator of the Ecological Footprint and President of Global Footprint Network, an international sustainability think-tank. Global Footprint Network focuses on bringing about a sustainable human economy in which all can live well within the means of one planet.

Water Panel Plenary Session. This session will be led by Will Sarni, Director and Practice Leader, Enterprise Water Strategy of Deloitte Consulting, and a board member of the Rainforest Alliance. Will will lead a panel discussion that will include an overview of water scarcity and quality issues, why water risks are potential business risks, and a case study of how a company developed a global water strategy and standards.
Wisdom Panel. A moderated discussion with new and past ISSP Sustainability Hall of Famers will be a featured event of the program.
