Spark Wins National Gold ADDY Award for Martin Guitar Tuner App
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- Spark (sparkcreatives.com), Lehigh Valley’s award-winning advertising and public relations agency, won a 2014 National Gold ADDY award for its guitar tuner mobile application created for C.F. Martin & Co. The National ADDY awards recognize the nation’s best marketing materials each year.
“We take great pride in creating and producing campaigns that are comparable to any top agency nationwide and this award helps validate our creative pursuits,” said Denis Aumiller, Art Director and Partner at Spark. “In the advertising world, you are who you associate with, and we couldn’t be more pleased to be associated with world-renowned clients like C.F. Martin & Co. and other elite ad agencies around the country recognized by these awards.
A total of 75 Gold ADDY awards were handed out at the 2014 National ADDY Awards Ceremony, held in Boca Raton, Fla. Only 33 ad agencies around the country claimed a Gold ADDY award in one of 12 different categories. Spark’s National Gold ADDY award was for the Digital Advertising – Apps category.
“Spark has been our agency of record for three years now and we consider them an integral component of our marketing department,” said Amani Duncan, VP of Brand Marketing at C.F. Martin & Co. “Collaborating with the creatives at Spark on strategy and various projects has produced best-in-class work and this is only one of many examples of the success of the partnership.”
In 2013, C.F. Martin & Co. approached Spark about developing a mobile app that would extend its brand message deeper into its audiences’ daily media experience. Spark developed a guitar tuner app that stimulated repeat engagement. In addition to providing basic tools that musicians need, the app compliments those tools with content and knowledge that only a premier manufacturer of acoustic guitars like C.F. Martin & Co. could offer.
“We put as much time into thinking about the best user features and experience as the actual design and implementation,” said Joe Iacovella, Media Director at Spark. “While the design and programming is gorgeous, the biggest achievement was creating a tool with balance. We met the audience’s desire for exclusive features and content while enabling the Martin brand to entrench itself deeper into the lifestyles of guitar players.”
